Learnt" should be spelled "learned". I believe there is a mistake on question #11. You're asking what the difference between voiced and unvoiced phonemes are This lesson complete my coverage and knowldge of the english tense system by exploring the future tenses. As before, i did learn their structures and usages and then provide ideas for effective classroom activities and thats what i called the helpful skills. This lesson complete my coverage and knowldge of the english tense system by exploring the future tenses. As before, i did learn their structures and usages and then provide ideas for effective classroom activities and thats what i called the helpful skills that cone very helpful to teach the students at the class Wow. I thought I knew how to speak english well. I mean, I do, but to know all the names of all the tenses and aspects of the tenses... this was probably the most beneficial lesson for me yet. I definitely have to copy/paste this lesson for future tutoring needs. Despite the results of this test, I definitely have much memorization to do so that I am clear in my own understanding of the nuances of these aspects, but also so that I may explain them correctly so as to avoid any confusion! What I learned from this course is definately how not to treat your students. You have to be interested in them and your teaching and what you are teaching your class. If you have a rude tone or facial expressions your students are going to be intimidated by you. You have to speak clearly, and at a normal pace, be friendly and encouraging and smile. Your students and the class with go alot better. Unit 1 gives clear concepts on roles and responsibilities of both teachers and students. It shows you how to switch between roles, and how to carry each one appropriately. To be aware of the difference on ages, cultures and customs of the students,to determinate how to best run the class.I learnt about the different student levels from breakthrough to mastery, and what difficulty they each have. In my opinion a good teacher should look within herself to examine her personality and see what relation ship she will establish with her students. To care about teaching but more about the students learning, and to make classes active and fun to keep motivation up. Unit 12, the sister unit to Unit 11, taught about the two productive skills of speaking and writing. The unit discussed accuracy and fluency, both of which are of equal importance. The lesson revealed techniques and activities to use in the classroom. It also provided examples of a typical creative writing activity lesson, which was extremely useful and a typical creative speaking activity lesson, which was also very helpful. Unit 12 reflected on productive skills, which include speaking and writing. Speaking is based more around fluency while writing is based more on accuracy. Often, writing is neglected in the classroom because teachers prioritize speaking and give writing as homework where it may or may not be completed. Both are equally important. This unit, similar to other units gave examples of how one might teach these two productive skills in a straight ESA lesson. Pronunciation is a tricky subject to teach especially for non-native english teachers as there are sounds that are not typically used in their native language. In this case, mastery and constant practice are highly needed in order to accurately teach the students proper pronunciation. In this chapter, intonation, stress, phonetic writing and articulation were discussed in detail. Among the topics, intonation and individual sound generation are perhaps the most difficult for students to learn for the same reason as above. Unit sixteen covered the fundamentals of Conditionals & Reported Speech. The conditionals section was rather straight forward and I think it will not be a problem to teach this material, however I did find the direct speech to reported speech to be quite tricky, seeing as how naturally I do not speak that way. With a little practice ( along with the tutor video ) I feel I was able to get the gist of it but I am wondering how useful it will be to my students ( other than in external testing ) and am also wondering as to how much time I should a lot to it. Atlas this way if I am asked about it I will be able to help them. Managing the classroom is very important and should be done so to create a relaxed comfortable learning environment. This unit was very informative for getting ideas on how to manage the class, from when to talk more or less, to how and when to pair students in groups. It is important to mix up class activities and groups to keep the lessons interesting and engaging. All while maintaining control of the classroom to keep everyone focused but keeping teacher talk time to a minimum except when introducing new language. After reading Unit 3, I have gained a great understanding on how to correct student's errors. Having learned the ESA lesson plans, I will be able to incorporate a more organized lesson in my day to day teaching. When conducting an ESA lesson plan, it is easier to know when to correct errors and when to just let the students enjoy speaking in english. As of now I am in charge with coming up with various games and activities for students to do during class time. I wasn't aware that I should not correct the students. I now understand the effects of correcting students during the activate stage. I will become more aware of when to correct and when to just let the student speak . Also I am truly happy to found more ideas of games and activities within this unit ! I can't wait to start incorporating them in my lessons ! The unit is obviously about the four present tenses we have in english. Compare to other languages is marks even more the beautiful depth of understanding we have in European languages.I found the unit very systematic and aware of the students difficulties. Again helpful when it comes to the teaching ideas for the activity stage. The word learnt"" should be spelled ""learned"". Being able to use games and cards and other visual aids will help the students to learn english without as much confusion and frustration. Practicing the words out loud and silently This unit discusses the various types of students that a teacher can teach. One group are beginners that know no english. Another group is children which need to be entertained and gain teacher approval. The last group are adults for business purposes. These students vary in age
