There are a number of different types of assessments and ways to evaluate students and each exam/assessment has it's own unique role that is an integral piece in guiding students to where they need to be. As I become a TOEFL teacher myself it is wise to get to know these different types of assessments and external exams in order to effectively use them to the best of my ability and to help guide my instruction.
