The idiom "old hand" refers to someone with a lot of experience in doing something, for example: If you have any questions, ask Lisa. She's done this job before and is an old hand at project planning.

After studying this unit i understand how we learn languages, our native tongue and other languages. Also i identified the process of maturation and how to adapt methods to the changes that take place.In this unit, we learn different ways to organize students in classrooms such as by the number and age level of students. Also different ways to manage the classroom such as hand gestures and having good rapport with the students. It focuses as well on the importance of group work and the effectiveness of balancing teach talk time ans student talk time.
