This unit served as an excellent introduction in how to teach writing and speaking in an TEFL classroom. I was happy to learn that writing and speaking are both considered equally valuable for learners of English. In addition, I feel like the examples provided in the chapter and in particular the questions posed on the task sheet were very helpful to me.Unit 14 raises some concerns, and advantages of course books. This unit highlights many aspects of using a book, to include how to properly select a book, and reminding us that the book is only a tool, and at times not the best tool for the job. When the course book fails our needs, unit 14 offers suggestions on how to cope with the changing situation.
