It was good to read about potential problems that we may face when teaching second language learners. There are some great strategies and teaching ideas that will allow me to teach my students more effectively. it is important that the teacher creates an environment where the students are proud of their achievements and want to be risk takers and try new things.This unit was important because it demonstrated that reading and listening, in conjunction with vocabulary skills, will allow us to understand what we are reading and listening to as well as the reason why we are reading and listening to those materials. There are also cultural differences that will affect the understanding of what is being read and listened to.
