TEFL 120-hour Course - Unit 7

This episode of Chantelle’s TEFL course video diary looks at unit 7. Unit 7 deals with techniques for teaching new language whether this is grammar, vocabulary or functions. The unit provides different ways of teaching new language with sample lesson plans and suitable activities. Chantelle provides a good tip for potential students of ITTT’s online courses, which is to print off the course units as you access them and keep them in a folder so that you can easily go back to previous units and refresh your memory on what you have previously studied.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

This module helped me to understand the differences between past tenses and future tenses clearly, The questions were mostly straight forward and simple to understand with the occasional difficult question due to the presentation of the question. One of the more difficult modules. My recommendation in improving this module would be to simplify the questions. This unit went over a wide variety of standard tests used to access proficiency and track the progress of language students. Less formal evaluation tools are briefly covered i.e. tutorials and self evaluation forms. Tests range from Placement, Diagnostic, Practice, and Progress. The unit ended with a list of the many English tests under Cambridge University.
