TEFL review from Paavani

This TEFL review is from Paavani. She is from Ohio, USA, but just moved to South Korea where she will work as an English teacher. As this will be her first full-time teaching position, she decided to take our online TEFL/TESOL program to get the best possible foundation in teaching before starting her new position. After completing the course, she feels ready and prepared to teach Korean students in her own EFL classroom and she recommends this course to other new teachers.

Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.

This unit covered testing. There are many different tests used for many different purposes. A few examples are: placement test are taken before entering a school to see the students' skill level, practice tests are used to prepare for an external exam, and progress tests are used on a regular basis to see how much information is being learned and retained.Unit 9 was about lesson planning. I really liked this unit. The materials and video lesson were very beneficial. I learned how I can plant a lesson and which are the important parts each lesson. This is really important unit because as I already know, after all twenty tests I will need this knowledge for create my own lesson plan at the end of this course.
