In this TEFL review video another group of trainees share their experiences during the TEFL/TESOL four-week in-class course in Corinth, Greece. This was a short unit discussing the ways in which to introduce vocabulary, grammar and functions, under the ESA model approach. The different examples given of lesson plans was extremely helpful to understand this concept. I also learnt about more interesting activities for each stage of ESA, in order to make my daily lessons more entertaining and efficient.There are four things students need to do with a new language 1. expose to the new language 2. understanding its meaning 3. understanding how it's constructed 4. be able to pratice and produce it. Grammar and vocabulary cannot exist with one another. An effective teacher will focus on structure that is suitable to the class and the langauge to be introduced.
