Dan from Ukraine completed the 120-hour online TEFL course from ITTT. In this TEFL review video Dan tells us that he is currently teaching in China. The course gave Dan a lot of insight into teaching as well as plenty of materials and lesson plan ideas that he can use in his classes. Dan recommends signing up if you are thinking of teaching English abroad.
Below you can read feedback from an ITTT graduate regarding one section of their online TEFL certification course. Each of our online courses is broken down into concise units that focus on specific areas of English language teaching. This convenient, highly structured design means that you can quickly get to grips with each section before moving onto the next.
Evaluation and testing isn’t something I have done in the past but I do see their importance with this unit. Usually the institution does the placement test and thereafter the teacher only does a final exam at the end of the specific level being taught. However, progress tests are equally important and are something I will incorporate in my future lessons. As is mentioned in the unit, the future tense is one of the most complicated to understand and therefore to teach due to the fact that the usages of each of the tenses varies very little but can make a big difference in order to become an advance student. For me this will be one of the most important grammar topics to concentrate on for my more advance pupils.
