This was one of the most difficult units for me to be able to study the phonetic script. It felt like I was learning to read another language and took time for me to absorb the material. It is true that this is often neglected in teaching. I definitely would not be teaching my students the phonetic script, but use the examples in the unit to teach instead.I feel that this unit was very useful in terms of helping me learn how to better engage and direct individual/group attention that the entire classroom would be in need of. This unit thoroughly covered new ways to better discipline certain students without putting anyone specific on the spot or making them feel uncomfortable while still getting the job done.
