I learned about the importance of creating an engaging and concise lesson plan. Prior to this unit, I was under the impression that lesson plans needed to be long and have multiple objectives. This unit broke down the various aspects of a lesson plan and taught me pragmatic aspects of it like anticipating problems both from the students and for me as a teacher.In this unit we focus on the wide variety of materials and course books that are available for use in an English language classroom, as well as how to use them effectively. We also took a look at lesson planning and the important subject of classroom management. These points are very important in order to achieve an optimal lesson in which all students benefit.
