This unit was a very good overview of topics teachers must consider when managing their classroom. Some may appear mundane like seating arrangements. From past experience teaching (only to other native speakers) classroom organization can have a great impact on class participation and efficiency of common classroom activities. Much of the information is common sense and covered in basic classroom instruction courses. Two important topics were building rapport and maintaining discipline. It is critical to develop credibility and mutual respect with your class or risk wasting everyone's time and failing in your mission to teach english.
