As an inexperienced teacher venturing into the world of teaching english as a second language, I found that this course was an excellent overview of all the various topics found in the tefl world including grammar, teaching methodology, problems encountered in the classroom, and more. It was helpful in getting me prepared to meet the demands of making lesson plans (which is a terrifying concept for me as a newbie teacher, since I don't really know what to expect or how to even get started). The review of tenses, grammar, and language skills were vital for me as a (somewhat) native speaker because these are things that aren't taught to us formally in school and that we acquire through L1 acquisition. This course was a great way to start thinking about my students and to start thinking like my students.
