I have personally gained a lot of useful skills from this course. I feel more confident about beginning my career as a tefl teacher by finishing. Personally, I have gained a greater and more confident understanding of lesson planning. As someone who needs to work on their organisation skills the idea of lesson planning seemed daunting and hard for me at the beginning of the course. With the need to continue practising and writing more and varied lessons I feel a lot more confident and feel that I have gained an extremely valuable skill from having to do this. At the beginning of the course it took me a really long time to complete a lesson plan. Further into the course, as I learned more skills, the lesson planning became easier and the ideas for the lessons came to me much quicker. This course has given me a valuable resource of ideas as well as confidence in my own abilities to create and design a lesson suitable for any level of english teaching. In terms of management and organisation I feel comfortable with the structures that this course has helped me to understand and create within a classroom environment. I am about to travel abroad to teach english in a monolingual situation for the first time and am far more confident with my abilities to successfully embark on the beginning of my teaching career. The lesson plans and the ideas this course has taught me will be going with me and I will be able to use them in my daily teaching. The course also taught me to vary a classroom's activities. The course taught me to allow different methods of learning and variation of activities. I will take this skills with me and make sure to keep my lessons interesting and dynamic. This course, I am sure, will be invaluable to the experiences that I am about to have. The skills, techniques, and structures this course has taught me are excellent and will always be a part of my teaching method for years to come.
