The content of Unit 20 dealt with the common problems and situations that a teacher might have when meeting their class. We learned that our classes will fall into two groups. The first group would be New to each other and meeting for the first time. The teacher will need to develop rapport with this new class and help the students develop rapport among themselves. The second group would be an Existing group whereby the students know each other. The teacher will also need to develop rapport with the group. Several techniques can be used for developing rapport including surveys and pass the ball game. One of the biggest problems that a teacher might face is a group where the students are at varying levels of language skills. A teacher will need to be adaptive and flexible and using different materials and techinques to address the gaps identified. Also
