I think I've learned a lot from this course; not only how and what to teach learners of english as second language, but also I've relearned a lot of the grammar I forgot from my elementary school days. I have definitely gained a renewed respect for teachers who teach english to non-english speakers. It's not easy. I should know as I did tutor 2 students when I studied abroad. Knowing what I know now, I think the tools in this course would have helped me be more effective. I think I have gained more confidence in my endeavor to teach english abroad and in my ability to do so effectively.
I plan to use what I've learned as an assistant english teacher abroad or as a conversation school tutor. english is indeed pretty hard to master and I hope I can help make a difference in someone's understanding of english and in their confidence to use it.
