I think I have learnt such a lot from this course. I have always had to plan my lessons very well because, as you know, I am a heritage speaker of english. I felt that there were, and are, many aspects of the language I do not know. Now I understand that planning is essential in a lesson whoever you are. This course has also confirmed some of the things I usually do in class, like starting with warmer or using activities from resource packs and phonetics. When I prepare my lessons now I try to make them fun and interesting. The concept of less teacher talking is something that had not occurred to me, I think I thought I had to talk all the time. I remember my first lesson plans were all t-s, t-s, t-s etc.! You don’t know how many times I had to change them. I have learnt how to find what I am looking for through your suggestions Jon, and the whole course has given me more confidence in what I am doing, and what I hope to do in the future. I have printed out all of the units and our emails and will put them in a folder to keep with me when I’m teaching. Thank you so much Jon for your help and support.
