I am a native Swedish speaker who personally really enjoyed this online course. I remember when I was a young student and how it was to learn english, in the beginning it was really fun but soon it became very much just following the course book and it was basically a grammar translation education where the teacher was sitting in front and teaching us new grammar and vocabularies and perhaps read a bit of english text. I think that Swedish people due to our education understands a lot of english words and can read very well, but we are lacking in our ability to speak fluently since it's never been a priority. There was no interaction among the students like the ESA format where the students work together, discuss and “play” with the language. I think that the lessons on teaching methods and those relating to classroom and student interactions are the ones I liked the most, I think that these lessons will be useful in other types of work as well, when it comes to grammar I was struggling since I was taught english grammar by using Swedish comparison and Swedish words for the english grammar and that was a disadvantage for me. But I know that I will be able to pick up the grammar myself not that I have got an interest in it. I will use these materials as a guide when I'm working and I will go through them regularly, as a “side effect” I have discovered that there is a whole community of esl/tesol etc teacher on many websites where teacher share material and exercises with each other. I will actively join these sites and share and collect good ideas for my own lectures. I plan to teach in china since my girlfriend is from china and I would love to stay there for some time to learn more about her culture and meet her family.
