Unit 13 covers sentence intonation and word pronunciation. I had taken a linguistics class in college so I was familiar with the Phonemic Alphabet but covering intonation is something I had over looked in considering what I would be teaching to foreign language learners of english. The importance of stress on the meaning of sentences and in fluency is an important topic for teachers to focus on and to be aware of when teaching.
