The review of the different verb tenses and grammar was very helpful. I, for instance, have never taught modals or the passive voice in my two years of teaching in the Peace Corps. Therefore, that unit was specifically very helpful for me. I really appreciate that with almost every new material we learnt, we were expected to produce a viable lesson plan to teach the material. I thoroughly enjoyed all the examples and ideas that each unit had. In many of the units, useful links were given, too. Another thing that I enjoyed was all the lesson plans and the different forms of lesson planning. Again, it is something that I have done, but I really like the patchwork lesson plan a lot and plan to use it. Overall, I think this course was great in making me think outside of my own experience, how things that I have done can be changed and this is a very useful reference source that I will always use as an esl teacher.
