Taking this course had helped me so far in my career as a foreign teacher. I've learned different methods and theories related to teaching. This course also had provided lots of tips for teaching, from materials to management and other techniques that can be useful in class.
I am one of the foreign teachers here in china but not a native speaker so this course really had helped me a lot in re-calling the language's grammar and its rules. It'll be surely very dangerous for me inside the classroom in the long run just by having experience based on other foreign friends' tips and advice without having any background education in teaching. There were simple rules I didn't know before taking this course that I mistakenly did like for example, avoiding ‘finger pointing'. It is good to know what I should and should not do inside the class and when interacting or establishing relationship with the students.
For every unit that I've completed one by one, I immediately incorporate the things that I've learned from it. An example was when I had finished my unit 3, Theories, Methods and Techniques, I've since then used the ESA method when planning my lessons.
Now that I've finished all the units, I'll keep on reviewing my ITTT lessons to guide me in teaching and maybe one day, I'll be competent enough to train teachers too using the knowledge I've gained from this course.
