I grew up in
indonesia, where people used to neglect the importance of
english. I first started studying
english when I was in elementary school and fell in love with this language ever since. I studied
english Education in university and became an
english teacher in
indonesia, where I taught various levels of students.
I regret taking a
tefl course now. I wish I had done it earlier because this course is so much beneficial for me. Though I have learned
english for almost 20 years, I did learn even so much more with this course. I have better knowledge, better understanding and more ideas for teaching.
With this new understanding, I believe I will be able to teach fantastically in class. I learned how to make students understand the language points easier, and I also got various teaching and game ideas that will enlighten the class atmosphere. I am not a native speaker, but after taking this course, I am confident that my
english is as good as native speakers, that I can really teach
english well.
Many
english teachers in
indonesia do not take a
tefl course—because they do not have to—but after taking this course, I will recommend my fellow
teachers to take one because it, indeed, helps us—
teachers—to perfectly comprehend
english and the teaching world.
We will never stop learning; I will never stop learning
english. I definitely look forward to attending more similar courses.
