There are many of them. First of all, in my opinion, it's the personality of a teacher that has the main impact on the way he/she leads the educational process. Such personal traits as confidence and self-perception, emotional control, creativity, сommitment, and determination make a good teacher in the first place. A teacher can have good theoretical knowledge about teaching, have a great variety of... [Read more]

Where do I begin? I have learned so much from my 60-hour TEFL course with ITTT.
I have learned about everything from what it takes to become a great teacher and of course what not to do in the classroom. I also learned a lot about what makes a student a great learner. I believe this is very important as well since good learners progress more rapidly in the class. That rapid learning makes good learners and most of all more successful students. In turn that builds confidence in the teacher on behalf of the students. Of course, the teacher ends up with more confidence in their teaching abilities too.

Parents are the first teachers a child interacts with, from age zero to around three or four years when the child is exposed to early childhood education at schools. The parent role at this point is very critical for educating the child in; the culture of the society, religion of the family, the first language of the family and educational mentors among the family. Infants at this age are normally very keen on the happenings on the surrounding, and so they tend to model the behavior of the parents or the caregivers. Parents can help the infants feel secure and protected by playing with them. Infants can learn to build social connections when the parents let them be held by other people when they are around.... English teaching is an art form, and like any other art form, it requires dedication and perseverance. If we were to ask each student what makes a great English teacher, we would end up with a myriad of answers. I think one of the most important qualities that an English teacher should have is patience. We cannot build rapport with students in the absence of patience. Most would argue that a good command of the English language is the" it" factor when choosing the most suitable English teacher. In general, patience and flexibility are what helps a teacher build rapport with their students. Students all learn at different paces and have... [Read more]

Some people are intimidated, they take a glimpse, and then walk back to the familiar ground; some embark on the journey, but not all of them can truly enjoy the journey that is full of difficulties, some learners quit in the middle of the adventure; thus, only a small amount of people can finally master a second language. Teachers should be able to know what types of difficulty students might face and how to help them deal with these difficulties. Teachers in these days are required to be kind and patient, be lively and entertaining, have a good rapport with students, and so on, it seems like the teachers are likely to be friends of students. It is good to have these qualities, however, teachers could become easygoing or too forgiving to omit the students’ mistakes when they do something wrong. It is worse when teachers becoming targets and even victims of students’ aggression. Therefore, it is quite difficult to teach students the boundaries between what they could and could not do. Part of my job as sales trainer was to keep them motivated. Sometimes this got very hard with some sales people and many people left. The employee turnover was very high as not many people actually could master it. I worked there for four years in this position and met some really good people who did very well.
